Custom Workshops Designed for Your Group

Full of surprises and fun! Range: beginner to those with previous experience.

Drawing

Students explore expressive mark-making and gain confidence in drawing what they see. The skills needed to break down subject matter into easily rendered compositions is achieved through focused practice. Traditional materials including charcoal, graphite, pastels and pen & ink.

Multimedia

Students expand their drawing practice by experimenting with a variety of mediums and techniques that loosen their grip, awaken intuition and steer compositions. Their practice will be enriched by incorporating color, layering, texturing, alternative surfaces, and collaboration.

Gel Plate Printing

Students explore the unique printmaking technique - monoprinting - through popular gelli plates. Endless possibilities feature colors, patterns, stencil masking and textures from our natural world. Print on papers and fabric to create finished frameable prints, cards, books, and starting substrates for mixed media projects.

Cyanotype “Blue” contact printing

Students explore the simple photographic process of cyanotype's contact printing (sun printing). Fabrics and papers painted with a ‘solution’, then exposed to the Sun’s UV rays, result in the simplest objects dramatically defined with exquisite shades of “blue”. Exploration of delicate designs found in nature plus graphic experimentation using masking techniques create unique and elegant note cards, bookmarks, fabrics, and frameable prints.‍ ‍

Neurographic Art

Students discover the calming practice of neurographic art including mandala and ‘zen doodling’ art. Accessible exercises encourage creative exploration, promote mindfulness and result in visually engaging artwork. This relaxing practice emphasizes the joy of creation over the final product.
